I recently had to convert a 2d survey into a 3d survey; using your tool makes this fairly easy. There was a polyline for a track and a ditch, so I wanted to use these in conjunction with all the spot heights (just read text to Z values, easy!).
So i was able to match the spot heights with a few vertices. Now I want to interpolate the levels between known heights to fill in the missing data.
I can see 2 ways;
1) Break the 3d polyline at each vertex with a known height, then use Level out 3d polyline, and re join afterwards.
2) export all the coordinates and heights to excel and interpolate (this is what I did as it seemed way more complicated and more fun!).
Question is; can the level out 3d polyline be updated to as for a line, then 2 vertices, and level out between just those two vertices? So I could achieve option 1 without breaking the line up first.
Of course, I'm also open to suggestions of better ways to handle this.
