Hello,
Can somebody tell me if CadTools run with ZWCAD+?
Thanks
Eric

Probaly not but you can try. Select "Settings" in CadTools. In the "General" tab you will find a dropdown for AutoCad versions. Select "Manually(type in self). Then in the textbox below you type in "zwcad+.application".
If zwcad+ and AutoCAD has identical structure and properties in their COM-objects this will work. At the moment it seems to be some issues in CadTools that needs to be fixed before testing. I'll change the code and report back in this thread.

Version 684 now supports ZWCAD+. I haven't tested all commands but it seems that ZWCAD+ is very close to AutoCAD (Almost identical).
I've tested half of CadTools commands with the 2014 beta version and it works as expected. To use ZWCAD+ with CadTools, select ZWCAD+ as your CAD version (CadTools Settings)
ZWCAD+ can be found at: www.zwsoft.com (http://www.zwsoft.com)

Cool.

Thought I'd try it with progeCAD 2009 using "icad.application", CadTools says AutoCAD is not running.
-
Forget CAD clones built on Intellicad, they won't work.

I've designed it to run with ZWCAD+ 2014 on Windows 7 but it should also work on Windows 8. Probably something wrong with administartion rights. The error is due "ActiveX can't create object" (error 429)
I've tested with ZWCAD+ 2015 and Windows 7 a couple minutes ago and it works as it should.

Hi,
I've been testing CadTools for a while now and I can confirm that works with ZwCAD 2012+ too.
All ZwCAD+ are written from scratch with a new core CAD kernel, unlike the older ZwCAD (which code was copy of AutoCad, maybe with some modification could work with older versions too).
Hope this information will help other!

Try to run CadTools as Adminstrator. If that doesn't help try to also run ZWCad+ as Administrator.
-
Thank you Lars for trying but runing as Administrator didn't help.

Hi!
I do belive there is something with UAC. Test to turn it off and try again. You can easily turn it back on after you've tested.

I still have the same message appearing.
I've reinstalled both applications and still with no positive results.
Do you have anything else up your sleeve?
Tanja
-
I'm sorry but no. Have you tried with right clicking on ZWCad.exe in the Explorer and then select "Run as Administrator" and then use same procedure for CadTools.exe
Otherwise you may Google on UAC and Windows 10.
-
Run as administrator doesn't work.
Tnx.

Try to uninstall CadTools and then run the installation as Administrator (right click on the MSI-file)
If that doesn't help take a look in the INSTALL-LOG file in CadTools directory. You will find the latest installation attempt in the bottom of the file. It starts with a date and time stamp and will tell you if the installation was ok.

Has anyone found a solution, how to run ZWCAD Classic and CadTools?
Reinstalling, running the installation as Administrator has not worked for me. Also, there is no INSTALL-LOG file in CadTools directory.
