Title: Articulated Vehicles
Post by: cadTools_User on November 21, 2020, 12:12:24 AM
Is it possible to use the vehicle turning software to model a simple articulated truck? Similar to this:  (https://glamsen.se/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fmanuals.deere.com%2Fomview%2FOMT187892_19%2Fgraphics%2FT147691.gif&hash=9dc8c8be6467c38911035413a2dae7f5e06cbb11)

Try this:
Use the Articulated Bus type, save a copy of an existing vehicle or create a new.
Try to minimize the WB value (near zero). This will simulate a single truck axle.
Turn off Plot for swept path and envelope and do some testing and measure in the drawing.
Set your towed axle between the dual axles.
Set max angle between segments so there is no contact between truck and trailer
