Export hatch area to excell
« on: September 07, 2014, 09:02:41 AM »
Hi
sometimes when I want to calculate hatch area  I take the mesage
hath with no area although there is.
Is this a bug?

In this case I have the Excell
I  recreate boundaries of the hatch
I use   the area Calculation for the created polyline
and use the area to excell instead 0
It is simple but if you have 50 hatches and
a lot of them have  area = 0.00 ?
Is any other way instead?

Hi!

No, to my knowledge there is no other way calculate hatch area. In some situations AutoCAD can't calculate hatch area, boundary crossing is one of these. If the boundary crosses itself, even in the slightest degree, the hatch will not usually give an area.

As you suggested, recreate the boundary is probably the best way
