Probaly not but you can try. Select "Settings" in CadTools. In the "General" tab you will find a dropdown for AutoCad versions. Select "Manually(type in self). Then in the textbox below you type in "zwcad+.application".

If zwcad+ and AutoCAD has identical structure and properties in their COM-objects this will work. At the moment it seems to be some issues in CadTools that needs to be fixed before testing. I'll change the code and report back in this thread.

Version 684 now supports ZWCAD+. I haven't tested all commands but it seems that ZWCAD+ is very close to AutoCAD (Almost identical).
I've tested half of CadTools commands with the 2014 beta version and it works as expected. To use ZWCAD+ with CadTools, select ZWCAD+ as your CAD version (CadTools Settings)

ZWCAD+ can be found at: www.zwsoft.com

Thought I'd try it with progeCAD 2009 using "icad.application", CadTools says AutoCAD is not running.

Forget CAD clones built on Intellicad, they won't work.

Could you be more precise please, what kind of response do you get from CadTools? Any dialogboxes with any kind of message?

I've designed it to run with ZWCAD+ 2014 on Windows 7 but it should also work on Windows 8. Probably something wrong with administartion rights. The error is due "ActiveX can't create object" (error 429)

I've tested with ZWCAD+ 2015 and Windows 7 a couple minutes ago and it works as it should.

Hi,

I've been testing CadTools for a while now and I can confirm that works with ZwCAD 2012+ too.

All ZwCAD+ are written from scratch with a new core CAD kernel, unlike the older ZwCAD (which code was copy of AutoCad, maybe with some modification could work with older versions too).

Hope this information will help other!

rgds.

Try to run CadTools as Adminstrator. If that doesn't help try to also run ZWCad+ as Administrator.
