« on: November 09, 2015, 10:49:48 AM »
I made the upgrade to W10 (Autodesk Civil 3D 2008) and Cadtools doesn't work
"The CAD Application is not running, or wrong version! [Check CadTools Settings]
If running on Vista make sure to run the CAD Application as administrator!"
I Started Civil as Administrator and CadTools a s administrator...

Hi!
I do believe that UAC is involved anyway. I haven't tested CadTools on Windows 10 yet, but I will.

I've tested CadTools on W10 with AutoCAD 2013 and it works.

Remeber to set correct AutoCad version in CadTools settings!

I instaled autocad 2009 . I changed settings to autocad 2009 (17.2) but the problem remains. Can anyone tell me a way to solve this or I must go back to win7.

Run booth CadTools and AutoCAD with administration rights. Also run the installation of CadTools as Administrator.

Hi Lars
because I had the compatibility problem I uninstaled cadtools to install again as admin. The then had a new problem. I could n't Instal again neither as admin or not. Trying for other solutions I instaled an older  version  that I in my hard-disk (I think it wal 658)  and I made  the last update (713) so I have the last version installed. But the problem persists. Always says that I have wrong version of autocad instaled. I had an other version of autocad 2009  that instaled but no solution. Can't  recognize the version .
I  found also that a lot of old problems I use has compatibility problems with autocad 10.
The problem is with new computers with win 10 instaled. Computers that have updatet to win 10 from older win and the programs are instaled   before update they work. (because a lot programs I had to my old computer (that gave to my wife) and cadtools also they work normaly.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem ? I am getting the same error message that it won't recognise CAD

I have tried everything suggested here twice from multiple posts but can't get it to work.

I'm running the latest version of Win 10 pro & Civil 2019 on a brand new desktop
