Cross-sections from the excel input.
« on: December 11, 2013, 07:04:03 AM »
Dear Lars,
I am regularly using your software and indeed it a great boon for me in my work, many thanks for this wonderful job, from here  in Nepal.

I want to do another work from software, making cross-sections of road without having contour (as CadTools looks for- as much as I know) : inputting x,y coordinates from excel file and area with volume of those x-sections of road. I know that there is command which can compute area and volume of closed polylines, but is it possible to draw those x-sections of road without calculating contour.

Actually what I want to do is, I want to make the bill of contractor using your tool (app). For this, re-surveying the whole sections of road with Total station/theodolite is not practical. There is original plan of road in hand that do not match exactly in all sections. I have surveyed the sections of road with the help of level machine and now I want to calculate the area and volume of the sections with your tool help, in this part I am in loss. Pls. help!!!

Thank you very much for your anticipated help..

Lars
