table edit poliline
« on: January 19, 2019, 03:58:37 PM »
Hello Lars.
I hope you are in good health. My request is if it is possible at the csv save,
to produce different columns for each calculation and not one under the other.
For example elev and elev diff not one below the other.
It would be easier to work with it after in excel or so.
Thank you in advance.

Lars

Hi,

Try to rename the CSV-file to .TXT and then open it with Excel. This will force Excel to start the text import guide.
As an alternative:
Download and save your *.csv file to your chosen location.
Start Excel with a blank workbook open.
Select 'Data' on the ribbon, and then 'From Text'. ...
Browse for the *.csv file you want to open, and click 'Import'.
In the Text import wizard, ensure the 'Delimited' option is selected.

/Lars

Thanks Lars for the quick response.
I have already tried all these steps before.
Excel is reading elev at the first line and elev difference at the second,
but in the same row.
My problem is that I must move all the elev differences manually.
It would be most helpful if they where at different rows.

In the latest update (Build 726) there is a extra menu for a optional formatting of the CSV-file in the "Table Edit 3D Polyline".
